For the past years, Dr. Chu has been managing his family's footwear business. Serving as an executive director and co-CEO of S.Culture Co., Ltd, he always believed in corporate social responsibility and the value of “taking from the society and using it for the society”.

Outside of the company, Dr. Chu devotes himself to serving in youth development organisations, such as the Scout Association of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Road Safety Association, the Hong Kong St. John Ambulance, Civil Aid Service, The Hong Kong Girl Guides, and other uniformed groups, in order to nurture positive values in the young people of Hong Kong. His exceptional support and commitment to community service earned him  the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service. 

Dr. Chu also supports the Hong Kong Police Force in various district services. He dedicates his time as a member of the Central Advisory Committee of the Senior Police Call, the Chairman of the Central Activity Planning Committee of the Senior Police Call, the Chairman of the East Kowloon Happy Teen Committee, the Chairman of the Elite Crime Prevention Ambassadors Committee, and as President and Vice-president of the Junior Police Call in different regions. Across these roles, Dr. Chu is involved in establishing partnerships between both the elderly and the youth to promote crime, fraud, and drug abuse prevention.  In 2023, he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Committee (Yau Tsim Mong South) and the Captain of Yau Tsim Mong District Community Care Team — Cherry Community, where he bolsters the district’s recreation and sports and community activities, as well as assist in addressing the livelihood challenges faced by underprivileged communities.
